Two new characters have been confirmed playable in Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker via Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine – Sarada Uchiha and Mitsuki! Sarada will be a heal-type character that has the power of her Uchiha bloodline – the Sharingan – while Mitsuki will be a defense-type character that has the power to blend natural energy with his own chakra to attain Sage Mode! Mitsuki will also have his stretching abilities as well. Along with new characters, a new stage has been confirmed – the Hidden Leaf Village. This stage is different from the Hidden Leaf Forest stage that was in the beta test of the game.
Mitsuki and Sarada are the first two new playable characters announced since August 2017. In other word, it’s been over 8 long months since we last had a new character announcement, and that was one of the titular characters – Boruto Uzumaki.
With the latest additions, the number of playable characters confirmed in Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker is now 15 – Boruto Uzumaki, Sarada Uchiha, Mitsuki, Naruto Uzumaki, Sasuke Uchiha, Sakura Haruno, Kakashi Hatake, Shikamaru Nara, Choji Akimichi, Hinata Hyuga, Rock Lee, Itachi Uchiha, Kisame Hoshigaki, Pain, and Konan.
Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker is a multiplayer game set in the Naruto universe. Players will be able to fight with their favorite characters and discover a new gameplay style set in thrilling 3D environments with a graphic style completely different from the Naruto Storm series. Up to eight human players can engage to become the greatest ninja.
In order attain victory, a team of players must combine the right combination of skills as they will be able to select characters with RPG-like attributes – Attack Type, Ranged Type, Defense Type, and Heal Type. These are depicted by the fist, shield, shuriken, and heart symbol in the image below. Players can change tactics and strategy by changing the combination of styles on their team. Each character must carry out their role in order to guide their team to victory.
Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker is in development by developer Soleil Ltd. and will be published by Bandai Namco Entertainment to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC/Steam. A specific release date has not yet been announced, but the game will be published sometime in 2018. Anime Games Online hopes to have additional information as it is announced.
