Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 DLC Pack 6 (officially known as Extra Pack 2) is now available on PS4, Xbox One, PC/Steam, and the Nintendo Switch. Some players who own the Extra Pack Set may have experienced an issue where DLC Pack 6 would not download without purchasing the pack again, but Bandai Namco Entertainment has announced that issue is now resolved.
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Story Spoilers Ahead
In DLC Pack 6 there are two story modes so your actions determine the way events unfold, meaning you can shape history! Going back to Dragon Ball Xenoverse 1, it was explained there is a book called the Book of the Beginning and End in which there are scrolls that have pretty much everything that has ever happened is written down. Changing history leads to fissure in the scroll which has that history written down and causes the number of scrolls to increase. There is, however, a limit to the number of scrolls the Book of the Beginning and End can contain. If the capacity is exceeded, it will cause the book and the Time Vault in the Dragon Ball universe to self-destruct causing all of history past, present, and future to be erased, taking the universe along with it. Obviously that is bad and why it is the Supreme Kai of Time’s duty to protect it.
In Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 DLC Pack 6, the first story is where the Time Patroller and the Supreme Kai of Time takes the side of the mysterious new character Fu and helps him change history. There are no repercussions to this according to Fu because the book/scrolls in which Fu is changing history in is different from the Book of the Beginning and End. Basically by teaming up with him, they can shut down the suspiciously opened Time Rifts and allow history in this side book to be changed to create infinite history so he can absorb energy from it. No issues at all. The other story is where the Time Patroller and Supreme Kai of Time are against Fu and want to restore history to as it was originally, regardless of it not being part of the Book of the Beginning and End because history should never be changed.
Below are the two videos in which you can watch both of those stories unfold. The first video is helping Fu create infinte history. It is worth noting if Goku is your master (as opposed to somebody else), he will go Ultra Instinct toward the end of the story, as reflected in the second video.
The third video is the alternate story in which Fu’s side is not taken and history is restored to its original state. The opening of this story starts similarly to the other, but later diverts when you, the Time Patroller, decide to go against Fu and save the history of Dragon Ball and restore it to what we know.
