Dragon Ball FighterZ: Broly and Bardock DLC Gameplay

Posted on March 23, 2018

Gameplay for the two up-coming DLC characters for Dragon Ball FighterZ is here thanks to Bandai Namco Entertainment. Broly, the Legendary Super Saiyan is a powerful character that can withstand many attacks and is equipped with a green barrier that can stop most projectiles. His special attack, also used when a Broly assist is called out, is Eraser Cannon. In this attack he charges green key in the palm of his hand and then throws it at the enemy. Broly’s ultimate attack is Omega Blaster, an attack in which he becomes airborne and tosses a green ki blast towards the ground. Upon impact, the Gigantic Meteor causes a huge explosion so even when an opponent is at a distance, there is a decent chance of getting caught up in the blast. Broly is rated 5 out of 5 for both Power and Reach. His energy rating is a 4 out of 5, his technique is 2 out of 5, and his speed is rated a 1 out of 5. His overall ease of use is 4 out of 5.

Bardock, father of Son Goku, has skills that bring him closer to his opponent and has an easier time chaining his combos with more powerful special/ultimate attacks. Bardock’s special attack is Riot Javelin, which is a blue orb of energy. This can be used on the ground, in the air as well, and during the attack itself, adding additional inputs can change the direction of the orb. Bardoc’s ultimate attack is the Revenger Assault. It consists of him turning Super Saiyan and dashing at his opponent with invincibility frames. If Bardock connects (he can miss), Bardock will do damage of several hits, sending his opponent up into the air and firing a powerful multi-hitting beam at them. Bardock’s ultimate can also be used in the air. Bardock’s stats are as follows: Power: 4, Speed: 4, Reach: 2, Technique: 1, Energy: 3, Ease of Use: 4.

Bardock and Broly both release as DLC on March 28, 2018 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC/Steam. If you purchased one of the more expensive versions of Dragon Ball FighterZ, that includes the Season Pass (known as the FighterZ Pass) or the Season Pass itself, both characters will be downloadable at no additional cost. Otherwise Bardock and Broly can be purchased individually fro mthe PlayStation Store, Xbox Store, and Steam store on the DLC’s release date.
