The latest issue of Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine has revealed the Japanese voice actor for the One Piece anime’s Zoro, Kazuya Nakai, will voice Urashiki Otsutsuki. The name Urashiki Otsutsuki may be new to some fans as he has never appeared in the Boruto or Naruto manga series before.
He was first shown by Naruto’s original creator, Masashi Kishimoto, at the 2018 Jump Festa event in December 2017 to promote the Boruto: Naruto Next Generations Chunin Exams arc. The arc will expand on what was shown in Boruto: Naruto the Movie. Basically, due to time constraints of the movie, certain footage was left out from the 2015 film, one of which is the presence of this new character.
Not much known is about what role Urashiki Otsutsuki will serve, except for the fact he will be an antagonist. Based on Kishimoto-sensei’s drawings, Urashiki wields a powerful weapon that is essentially a whip made of a chakra thread. At the end of the whip is a hook, which we also assume is made of chakra. Like Gaara, Urashiki also has a gourd on his back. However, Urashiki’s gourd is full of chakra.
The Chuin Exams arc of is expected to begin airing in Japan. A specific date has not been announced yet, but with Boruto and company already Genin, the date may be closer than we think. As we learn more, we hope to let you know right here on Anime Games Online!
