Dragon Ball FighterZ: New Gameplay and Dramatic Scenes from Major DBZ Arcs

Posted on January 16, 2018

We’re inching closer, day-by-day to the highly anticipated January 26 release date of Dragon Ball FighterZ by Bandai Namco Entertainment and developer Arc System Works! Eight new videos from the game have made their way online. The first is gameplay featuring all of the characters not in this past weekend’s open beta or September 2017’s closed beta – SSGSS Goku, SSGSS Vegeta, Goku Black, Hit, Captain Ginyu, Gotenks, Yamcha, and Tien. The second video features video from the Dragon Ball FighterZ replay channel, which includes commentary by the World Martial Arts Tournament Announcer.

The last six videos are of dramatic scenes in Dragon Ball FighterZ. These are scenes played as the opening or ending of a fight that recreate famous moments from the Dragon Ball Z or Dragon Ball Super anime. The scenes are triggered when conditions of a battle meet those seen in the anime. For example, if a player fighting as Goku defeats his opponent who is using Kid Buu on the Sacred World of the Kai stage, then the scene where Goku obliterates Kid Buu with a Spirit Bomb is triggered.
