Dragon Ball FighterZ is dragon dashing it’s way to PS4, Xbox One, and PC on January 26, 2018 in North America and Europe for the standard price of $59.99. Those who want to take it to the next level can order the Dragon Ball FighterZ Edition for $94.99, which includes the game itself and access to eight DLC character when they become available.
For anyone who wants to take it a level beyond the next level can order the Dragon Ball FighterZ Ultimate Edition, which includes not only the game itself and access to eight DLC character when they become available, but also an anime music pack and commentator pack! The anime music pack will be released by March 1, 2018 and the commentator pack will be released by April 15 2018 – these are both after the game’s launch date. In other words, regardless of the version purchased, you’ll be able to play Dragon Ball FighterZ starting January 26, 2018, but the anime music and commentator packs will be available for download at a later date. The anime music pack will be available to purchase separately from the Ultimate Edition as well.
Anyone who pre-orders any version of the game also gets early access to the open beta, early character unlocks to SSGSS Goku and SSGSS Vegeta, 2 exclusive lobby avatars (one of SSGSS Goku and one of SSGSS Vegeta), and 3 stamps (one each of Bulma, Android 21, Android 18).
At this point in time it is unclear who will be the 8 DLC character or what voices will be in the Ultimate Edition’s commentator pack, but we do know the songs that will be in the anime music pack of the Ultimate Edition! There will be 11 songs and these will play as background music while you are fighting opponents and playing the game. The songs are as follows:
- Mystical Adventure! – the opening theme to the Dragon Ball TV series
- I’ll Give You Romance – the ending theme to the Dragon Ball TV series
- CHA-LA HEAD-CHA-LA – the first opening theme to the Dragon Ball Z TV series
- WE GOTTA POWER – the second opening theme to the Dragon Ball Z TV series
- Come Out, Incredible ZENKAI Power! – the first ending theme to the Dragon Ball Z TV series
- We Were Angels – the second ending theme to the Dragon Ball Z TV series
- Bit by Bit, You’re Charming My Heart – the opening theme to the Dragon Ball GT TV series
- Prologue & Subtitle – episode recap and title card music from Dragon Ball Z
- A New Hero is Born – background music track from Dragon Ball Z
- Solid State Scouter – the Bardock TV special insert song from Dragon Ball Z
