Boruto Movie to Be Recreated in Boruto Anime, with Urashiki Otsutsuki Character

Posted on December 18, 2017

Boruto, Sarada, Mitsuki and their fellow classmates are now Genin! In 2018, the Boruto: Naruto Next Generations anime will explore the next chapter of their young ninja lives and take our protagonists to the Chunin Exams! The 2015 film, Boruto: Naruto the Movie, will be recreated in the TV anime series. Due to time constraints of a movie, certain footage was left out from the 2015 film that will be included in the TV anime. This includes the introduction of a new Otsutsuki! Boruto: Naruto the Movie had Momoshiki Otsutsuki and Kinshiki Otsutsuki. The Boruto: Naruto Next Generations TV anime will also have a character named Urashiki Otsutsuki. What his role in the TV anime is unknown, but he wields a powerful weapon that is essentially a whip made of a chakra thread. At the end of the whip is a hook, which we also assume is made of chakra. Like Gaara, Urashiki also has a gourd on his back. However, Urashiki’s gourd is full of chakra.

Urashiki, like Momoshiki and Kinshiki, is designed by Naruto’s original creator, Masashi Kishimoto. Below are his character designs for Urashiki and a promotional image for the Chunin Exams arc in Boruto: Naruto Next Generations. A specific date the arc will begin has not yet been announced, but it will air in 2018.
