Popular streaming service, Netflix, is releasing a live action movie based on Takeshi Obata and Tsugumi Ohba hit anime/manga series, Death Note! The movie makes it’s way to Netflix next month, on August 25, 2017. The movie is an adaptation of the anime/manga so some of the characters and their portrayal is different from the original works.
The movie stars Nat Wolff as Light Turner (known as Light Yagami in the original), Keith Stanfield as L, and Margaret Qualley as Mia Sutton (known as Amane Misa in the original works), and te voice of Willem Dafoe as Ryuk.
Below, the first video, is the first official clip from Netflix’s Death Note Live Action Movie. It features Light’s first with the Shinigami (death god) known as Ryuk.
The second video is the first official trailer for the movie. Netflix summarizes the movie as follows: “Intoxicated by the power of a supernatural notebook, a young man begins killing those he deems unworthy of life. Based on the famous Japanese manga. Death Note streams on Netflix August 25.”
The third video is the first teaser for the movie. It was originally released on March 22, 2017.
The fourth video is of Director Adam Wingard and his inspiration behind this twisted adaptation of Death Note.
