A new type of match has been announced for Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker – capture the flag! This is where a team of four shinobi will undergo a mission to capture the flags of an opposing team of four shinobi. As a team captures their oppositions flags, they score points to victory.
Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker will allow players to engage in additional types of missions via the Mission Mode. This includes exploration missions, escort missions, annihilation missions, and subjugation missions. Missions can be conducted online with and against other human opponents. The largest screenshot in the image below from Shuiesha’s V-Jump magazine depicts subjugation of the One-Tailed Beast, Shukaku. This particular mission in Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker can be thought of as a Naruto-style version of Koei Tecmo’s Attack on Titan game.
In order attain victory, a team of players must combine the right combination of skills as they will be able to select characters with RPG-like attributes – Short-Ranged Attack, Defend, Long-Range Attack, and Heal. These are depicted by the fist, shield, shuriken, and heart symbol in the image below. Players can change tactics and strategy by changing the combination of styles on their team. Each character must carry out their role in order to guide their team to victory. The image below shows Naruto and Kakashi are both short-ranged characters, Sasuke is a long-ranged character, and Sakura is a healer.
