Attack on Titan 2: Future Coordinates Gets First Video, 2017 Release Scheduled

Season 2 of Attack on Titan debuted April 1, 2017 and now that we’re ten episodes into it, a new game is in the works! In development and to be published by video game company Spike Chunsoft, Attack on Titan 2: Future Coordinates is scheduled to hit the Nintendo 3DS on an unannounced day later this year. It is a sequel to their 2014 3DS game, Attack on Titan: Humanity in Chains.

A release of Future Coordinates in North America and Europe has not been announced at this time, however, there is hope for Attack on Titan fans who are 3DS owners as Humanity in Chains did receive a Western release in early 2015.

You can take a look at the first video for Attack on Titan 2: Future Coordinates below. The official tagline for Attack on Titan 2: Future Coordinates is “Gather comrades! Build a wall! …And then exterminate!”. In this game, players will be able to experience the anime’s season 2 in story mode and also partake in a new mode called “World Mode” in which players can take part in co-op with up to 3 friends for four players total.

Earlier this year on March 30, publisher Koei Tecmo released Attack on Titan: Escape From the Brink of Death for the Nintendo 3DS in Japan. It was an RPG-like game with an original story that put the player as a member of the Survey Corps who was investigating a castle, became trapped, and needed to find a way to escape with broken 3D maneuver gear. Last year in 2016, Koei Tecmo published Attack on Titan: Wings of Freedom, which had a worldwide release, and made its way to PS4, Xbox One, PC, and PS Vita. It was an action/adventure game that followed the first season’s story and put players in the shoes of various characters from the series.
