Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 on the Nintendo Switch and Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 DLC Pack 4 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC – two new exciting things in the world of Dragon Ball video games!
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 on the Nintendo Switch will be making it’s way to retailers worldwide sometime later this year in the Fall. It will contain the story mode, featuring Demigra, from Dragon Ball Xenoverse 1 along with the story for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 seen in the PS4, Xbox One, and PC versiosn of the game. Also up to six people can play together in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 for the Nintendo Switch ad-hoc and those who purchase the game in Japan on day 1 will be able to unlock more than 70 characters from the start of the game. It hasn’t been announced yet if Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 for the Nintendo Switch will have all of the same DLC as the PS4, Xbox One, and PC versions at this point in time.
As for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 DLC Pack 4 (release date: sometime in June 2017 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC), new screenshots have been released for it along with the Nintendo Switch version of the game. DLC Pack 4 screenshots are of those from the Future Trunks saga story mode and from free battle mode. One of the screenshots shows players will be able to equip Fused Zamasu’s sun-like sphere ultimate attack, Holy Wrath, to their custom characters. Another shows players can equip Fused Zamasu’s Blades of Judgement super attack and a third screenshot shows they can equip Fused Zamasu’s Lightning of Absolution super attack to their custom characters. In story mode, we can see Supervillain Goku Black, Supervillain Zamasu, Goku Black about to go Super Saiyan Rose, Fused Zamasu, Future Trunks, and of what looks like Future Trunks about to go Super Saiyan Rage.
Super Saiyan Rage Future Trunks is not confirmed officially at this point in time, however, the screenshot from story mode certainly makes it looks like it. However, passionate Dragon Ball fan komodoxeno has looked into the files of Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 and founds hints at that transformation being in the game, including in free battle. Since this is a data mine and not officially confirmed, we will consider this RUMOR for now until Bandai Namco Entertainment announces it. The data mine reveals Future Trunks will have a new ultimate attack, possibly called Final Hope Slash. Aside from that, the rest of Future Trunks’ moveset is the same.
According to the data mine, players will also be able to equip Zamasu’s following attacks to their custom character – Instant Severance, God Splitter, and Heavenly Arrow. Also, there will be three new parallel quests, according to the data mine. The first is a fight against Goku Black Rose, Supervillian Golden Frieza, Supervillian Perfect Cell, Supervillian Kid Buu, and Towa. The second is a fight against Goku Black and Zamasu. The third potential Parallel Quest is a battle against Goku Black Rose and Zamasu (with Goku and Vegeta as help on the player’s side) followed by a battle with Fusion Zamasu (with the help of Vegito Blue on the player’s side). Of course, everything in this article after the slide show of screenshots in this article is considered rumor for now. Anime Games Online hopes to have the confirmed contents of DLC Pack 4 as soon as they become available.
