Naruto Storm 4 Road to Boruto: Key Characters Not Playable, English Sub Trailer

The latest trailer for Naruto Storm 4: Road to Boruto has been released in English sub fashion! It shows free battle with Naruto, Sasuke, Boruto, Mitsuki, and Sarada. Story mode is also shown, with characters Momoshiki, Kinshiki, Yurui and Shikadai. In a surprising reveal on Twitter, Bandai Namco Entertainment responded to Naruto fan Christopher Osagie on whether those characters would be playable. The answer was no – key villains Momoshiki and Kinshiki along with the Hidden Cloud Village’s Yurui, Shikamaru/Temari’s son Shikadai, and Adult Konohamaru will NOT be playable in the Road to Boruto expansion to Naruto Storm 4. They will be story mode characters only. Metal Lee, Rock Lee’ son, will also not be playable.

A specific reason was not provided, but it was mentioned playable characters are not always easy to create. In this case, we think Shikadai would have been a great alternative costume to young Shikamaru. Same goes for Metal Lee. Yurui, Momoshiki, and Kinshiki are already opponents that must be battled so we would anticipate them to have a decent moveset created already. Very unfortunate missed opportunity that these characters will not be playable! In good news, there will be other characters that will be included. Who are they? Aside from Mecha Naruto, we aren’t sure yet as they have not been announced, but hope to have additional information as soon as it’s available right here on Anime Games Online.
