Naruto Shippuden December 2016 Schedule, January 2017 Preview

It’s the final month of 2016, December! In it, the Naruto Shippuden anime will focus on the last living member of the Uchiha clan, Sasuke. Taking place after Naruto manga chapter 699 and before 700, the story on Sasuke is based on an official Japanese book in Japan titled “Sasuke Shinden: Book of Sunrise”. The book was released in November of 2015 in Japan and will be released in English on March 7, 2017. The book is 224 pages and the arc in Naruto Shippuden lasts 5 episodes. Starting on January 12, the Naruto Shippuden anime will shift focus to a story on Shikamaru after chapter 699 of the manga. It’s based on the official Japanese book titled “Shikamaru Hiden: A Cloud Drifting in Silent Darkness”. The book is available in English as well. Through downloadable content, video game Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 features a story in Adventure Mode very loosely based on the book (below).
