As reported yesterday, the Naruto Shippuden anime will shift focus to life after manga chapter 699 and cover what’s in the official Naruto book series later this year. It will start off with Sasuke’s Story: Sunrise.
Afterwards, Naruto Shippuden will tell the tale of Shikamaru’s Story: A Cloud Drifting in Silent Darkness followed by the Hidden Leaf Village’s Story: The Perfect Day for a Wedding. It’s unclear how many episodes each story will be told in.
Earlier this year, Naruto Shippuden covered two books featuring the story of Itachi, Itachi’s Story – Light and Darkness. The books were a combined 544 pages and the anime covered them in 8 episodes, so if that is any indication, then each of these books might be told in 4 episodes. Of course that’s just speculation on our part, we’ll have to wait and see as December draws near.
Take a look at the scan with the news below along with the preview for the first episode on Sasuke’s story, which again begins December 1. There will be no episodes of Naruto Shippuden for the rest of November.
Thanks Karlo Bahnik.
