Goku Black English Dub Lines, Yelling Kaioken (Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2)

Posted on November 11, 2016

Last Friday, FUNimation, the company behind Dragon Ball Z in North America, announced they have acquired the rights to Dragon Ball Super and are working on an English-dub of the hit anime. They did not announce any cast members, however, its likely they will bring back most cast that made the English dub famous back again.

That, of course, includes Sean Schemmel as the voice of our hero, Goku. With a new series, however, comes new characters. What about the evil Goku Black? In Japan, he is voiced by the same voice actor as Goku, Masako Nozawa. In fact, both Goku Black and Goku sound exactly the same in the Japanese dub. In the English dub, of Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 at least, Goku Black and Goku have the same voice actor as well (Sean Schemmel), but Goku Black’s voice is a bit sinister. Listen to all of Goku Black’s quotes in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 below thanks to SaiyanGamer. It’s quite interesting to hear all of his lines and grunts. At the 2:26 mark, Goku Black can be heard yelling “Kaioken” which is unexpected since that isn’t an ability he has in the game or Dragon Ball Super.
