Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2: New Hub (Conton City), Updated Multiplayer, Screenshots

Bandai Namco Entertainment has announced Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, like the first Xenoverse, will be an action-fighting game with massive multiplayer online (MMO) and role playing game (RPG) elements to allow players to power-up their character and explore the Dragon Ball universe.

New Hub (Conton City)

In Dragon Ball Xenoverse 1, players could convene in the hub known as Toki Toki City. Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 has a new hub city, seven times larger than Toki Toki, called Conton City. Up to 300 players can simultaneously enter a single instance of Conton City where they can undertake quests, train at school, enter fights, shop, and more. Each playable race will have different rewards they can earn from their missions, further diversifying the experience.

Updated Multiplayer

As many recall, in Xenoverse 1, only the World Tournament arena was available for local multiplayer. Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 will have an updated local multiplayer where players can engage in 1-vs-1 (player-vs-player) in several environments. The game will run on 60 FPS on all platforms for a smoother experience and highly animated fights.

It’s unknown what other updates local multiplayer will have or what updates online multiplayer will have. We do know local multiplayer in Xenoverse 2 will be 2 players and online multiplayer will be 2 to 6 players.

Below are two new screenshots from Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2. The first screenshot is of Goku vs Frieza at Planet Namek. A created character can be seen next to Goku and according to speculation, Frieza is looking at Cooler. Whether or not it’s Cooler is unknown at this point in time, but one of Xenoverse 2’s features is for players to have the ability to change history. So, in theory, it could be another created character as well. After all, in the second screenshot on Frieza’s ship, we do see what look two be two created characters (1 may be a CPU). Of course, that’s just our speculation. We hope to let you know more here on Anime Games Online as soon as it’s announced!
