One Piece: Burning Blood – New Mode, DLC Alternate Characters, Costumes, HUD Announced

Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe has announced a Deluxe Edition of One Piece: Burning Blood! It includes the following:

  1. One Piece: Burning Blood game
  2. Luffy Gear 4th, Afro Luffy, and Kung Fu Luffy (these are pre-order bonuses only)
  3. Exclusive theme
  4. Platinum Luffy Costume
  5. 6 alternate versions of playable characters featuring new special moves and outfits for Ace, Shanks, Trafalgar Law, Sabo, Doflamingo, and Zoro
  6. 8 new costumes featuring Nami, Robin, Hancock, Perona and Koala in swimsuits, young Whitebeard, shirtless Trafalgar Law and Bon Clay cloned as Nami!
  7. 4 customizable HUDs in the colors of Doflamingo, Sabo, Ace and Trafalgar Law

The difference between the Deluxe Edition and Standard Edition is that it does not include items 5 to 7 listed above. Items 5 to 7 are also referred to as the “Wanted Pack” in the image below. It’s likely all these items will be available in the Japanese and American editions of the game through DLC. The swimsuit costumes were actually pre-order DLC in Japan.

Additionally, another game mode for One Piece Burning Blood has been announced — Pirate Flag Battle. This is not in the Japanese version of the game, at least not yet. Pirate Flag Battle is an online team challenge that pits you against other players around the world. You’ll select a pirate crew to join and play against other teams. When you win a fight, you capture the flag on a world map, indicating that you’ve conquered that area.
