At it’s first week at Japanese retailers, Bandai Namco Entertainment and CyberConnect2’s Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 led all games in terms of sales in Japan between February 4, 2016 to February 7, 2016 with 64,446 copies sold.
Japanese data gathering and analysis company, Media Create, reports in week 2 at Japanese retailers, 12,187 copies of the game were sold and in week 3 an additional 5,301 copies of the game were sold. Between the game’s February 4 release date and February 21, 81,934 copies of Naruto Storm 4 in Japan have been sold! To our knowledge, and we could be wrong here, this only includes physical copies of the game, not digital sales. It’s also worth noting Naruto Storm 4 has only been released for PS4 in Japan.
Bandai Namco announced back on February 11 over 80,000 copies of the game were shipped to Japan, so we expect that number has only increased since then.
How about North America and Europe? How did Naruto Storm 4 do in those territories? Well, in North America, as of February 11, Bandai Namco announced 620,000 units were shipped and 550,000 units were shipped to Europe. In North America and Europe, Naruto Storm 4 is available as a physical game for both PS4 and Xbox One.
Video game website VGChartz reports 88,161 PS4 copies of the game and 46,698 Xbox One copies of the game have been sold in North America between the February 9 release date and February 13. VGChartz also reports, in Europe, an astonishing 107,318 PS4 copies and 20,136 Xbox One copies have been sold in about two days – the European February 5 release date and February 6.
Just as clarification, shipped means the amount of copies of Naruto Storm 4 that Bandai Namco has sent to retailers. Sold means the amount of Naruto Storm 4 copies retailers have sold to fans (or just the public, in general).
Here is a quick table to summarize the sales data. 344,247 represents the total copies of physical copies of Naruto Storm 4 sold so far that we know of based on reports.
