Attack on Titan Game: New Characters, Mechanics, Screenshots Revealed

New details and screenshots for the Attack on Titan game for PS4, PS3, and PS Vita have been revealed! First off are battle mechanics. Players will need to strategically use their 3D Maneuver Gear to travel and their blade to attack as both of these resources are limited. Every time players use 3D Maneuver Gear, gas will be consumed. Every time players use their blade to attack, the sharpness of the blade will decline. It will be possible to refill gas and replace blades, although the cost to do so has not yet been revealed. The Attack on Titan game will have game-exclusive weapons not seen in the anime/manga that can be swapped with the blade.

New characters have been confirmed. Annie Leonhart, Ymir, Krista Lenz, Reiner Braun, Bertolt Hoover, Marco Bott, Keith Shadis, Dot Pixis, Ian Dietrich, and Rico Brzenska will Eren Jaeger, Mikasa Ackerman, Armin Arlert, Jean Kirstein, Connie Springer, and Sasha Blouse on the side of humanity.

On the Titan front, the Bearded Titan that ate Ellen, Blonde Titan that ate Carla, Short-Haired Titan that ate Thomas, and Shoulder-Length-Haired Titan that ate Mina will be in the game.

There will be a wide range of Titans in the game, each with its own personality so players will need to adjust their combat-style to bring down each one successfully.

Attack on Titan will include training on how to fight Titans, including how to use the 3D Maneuver Gear. The game will have a variety of stages players will be able to enjoy, including the training grounds shown below.

The story mode of the game will follow that of the 2013 anime and will be told through in-game cutscenes.

When players are not fighting Titans, they will be able to relax and enjoy everyday conversations with other characters. Players will have the ability to travel freely around the city and barracks during this time, develop new weapons, and gather information to help in battle.
