The Day Naruto Became Hokage, Boruto: Naruto the Movie Special Manga

Posted on July 26, 2015

Sixteen years ago in a time known as 1999, the story of a boy named Naruto Uzumaki began. His dream was to be Hokage, the top ninja in the Village Hidden in the Leaves. When the Naruto manga officially ended on November 10, 2014, we saw in chapter 700 the boy had become a man and realized his dream! In Naruto: The Seventh Hokage and the Scarlet Spring manga, we saw Naruto lead the next generation as Hokage and we’ll continue to see that in the up-coming Boruto: Naruto the Movie.

What about the day Naruto became Hokage? Such a joyous occasion has not been shown to us, the avid Naruto fan! That will all change soon, however! Two million lucky fans who see Boruto: Naruto the Movie in Japanese theaters, beginning on Saturday, August 7, will receive a book titled Naruto: Hiden Zai no Sho Official Movie Book. In it will be a special, one-shot manga drawn by Naruto creator Masashi Kishimoto titled “The Day Naruto Became a Hokage”. The preview below shows Sixth Hokage Kakashi Hatake pass the Hokage torch to our hero in a Village ceremony. The full-colored Naruto manga chapter 700 will also be included in the book.

Select theaters in Japan on Friday, August 6 at 11:30 PM will play a video greeting by Kishimoto-sensei and the voice actors for Naruto, Boruto, Sakura, Sarada, Shikamaru, and Shikadai along with having a midnight screening of Boruto: Naruto the Movie.
