Dragon Ball Xenoverse: Unlock All Characters, Collect Crystal Shards and Dragon Balls

Dragon Ball Xenoverse is now available worldwide for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC! The game has a total of 46 playable characters and dozens of costumes which players can unlock by playing through the game. In many games, beating the story mode is enough to get the complete roster, but in Dragon Ball Xenoverse that isn’t the case! After defeating the evil Demigra, players will notice 7 locked character slots on the roster. These locked slots include playable characters Broly, Bardock, Vegito, Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta, Super 17, Omega Shenron, and Super Saiyan 4 Goku. How can one obtain them? Well, simply put:

  1. Complete the Legendary Super Saiyan Saga (unlocks Bardock and Broly)
  2. Complete all 55 parallel quests (unlocks Super Saiyan 4 Goku and Vegito)
  3. Collect the Dragon Balls 3 times and make wishes for more characters (to unlock Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta, Super 17, and Omega Shenron)

Unlock Bardock and Broly

In order to unlock Bardock and Broly, you first need to obtain the 5 Time Chasm Crystal Shards. Once you have them, you can play the Legendary Super Saiyan Saga, and upon successful completion, you will Bardock and Broly. To get the 5 Time Chasm Crystal Shards you must:

  • Shard 1 – Defeat Demigra
  • Shard 2 – Talk to non-playable character Recon in Toki Toki City
  • Shard 3 – Win Parallel Quest 49
  • Shard 4 – Win Parallel Quest 14, 18, or 42 with an ultimate finish
  • Shard 5 – Win Parallel Quest 2, 21, or 32 with an ultimate finish

Unlock Super Saiyan 4 Goku and Vegito

Completing all 55 parallel quests will unlock Super Saiyan 4 Goku. For Vegito specifically, complete quest 37. If you are missing parallel quests the reason is you have to complete the Legendary Super Saiyan Saga in order to unlock them.

Unlock Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta, Super 17, and Omega Shenron

In order to get the three Dragon Ball GT characters, players will have to collect the 7 Dragon Balls 3 times and each time they gather all 7, they will have to make the wish for more characters. Collecting the Dragon Balls is a challenge, however, take a look at the tutorial below on how to do so.
