The Naruto manga has reached it’s finale and the story of a boy who started out with nothing, but a demon fox inside him has come to end. However, the anime based on the series, Naruto Shippuden is still going, and it will continue into 2015. That’s not an opinion or prediction, it’s been confirmed by Naruto anime director Hayato Date. He mentions that once the new year begins, new story developments will be introduced into the series. What are those developments? And will Naruto Shippuden air throughout 2015 or just a part of it? At this time the answer to those questions are unknown.
What is known is that there will be a Naruto Shippuden special on December 4th that will focus on the Hyuga sisters, Hanabi and Hinata. Date-san was unable to speak much about the special, but he did say the special will address points such as how Hanabi has changed since we last saw her and what she is doing now.
So why focus on Hanabi now? Well, she will be in The Last: Naruto the Movie as a piece in the story’s plot. The special will bridge to the movie and show in a similar manner Naruto Shippuden episode 271 (Road to Sakura) did with Road to Ninja: Naruto the Movie.
Below are sketches of the Hyuga sisters from The Last: Naruto the Movie.
