J-Stars Victory VS: 5 More Characters Join, Possibly More on the Way (RUMOR)

UPDATE: J-Stars Victory VS – Killua, Ace, Hiei, Momotaro, are Playable

Portgas D. Ace (One Piece), Killua Zoldyck (Hunter x Hunter), Hiei (Yu Yu Hakusho), Momotaro Tsurugi (Sakigake!! Otokojuku) and Heihachi Edajima (Sakigake!! Otokojuku) are making their way to J-Stars Victory VS! At least that’s according to a few Japanese websites which report the latest issue of V-Jump magazine has revealed this potentially exciting news. There is no scan as proof, so Anime Games Online classifies this as a rumor for now. At this time it’s unclear if they will be support or playable, assuming the rumor is true, but their additions would bulk up the roster to 52 characters total (that number includes support).

Speaking of 52 characters, we’ve seen discussion of 52 being the final count, however, we aren’t sure if this is true. We at Anime Games Online think there are possibly more on the way. Again, we aren’t sure because it depends on what V-Jump officially reveals, but we believe there could be more than 52 characters. The reason is the J-Stars Victory VS character selection screen, below, shows 14 pages worth of characters (with a max of 4 characters per page), so at the most 56 characters can be in the game. If there were 52, wouldn’t we only need 13 pages? Namco Bandai confirmed today 32 series will be represented so additional characters, if there are any, will be from the series we know to be confirmed (or rumored to be confirmed).

In case you are wondering, our J-Stars Victory VS Characters page only lists the confirmed characters, with which we have 100% certainty. Below are are the 32 series so far and the characters represented if the rumor is true. The “???” indicates they are one of the rumored characters.
