Sage Mode Naruto has been confirmed as a transformation in J-Stars Victory VS! He can be seen transforming at the 1:53 mark in the video below. Although not confirmed, it leads us to believe Kurama Mode Naruto is only a special attack.
As part of Ichigo’s special attack, he transforms into his Final Getsuga Tensho form and launches Mugetsu. This can be seen at the 3:18 mark. After using the attack, Ichigo is automatically KOed. Characters can come back to life within a match, so even after using the technique, it doesn’t necessarily mean the battle is over. In J-Stars Victory VS, the match is over only when a team’s win gauge, which are the red and blue bars at the top, is full.
