Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3, or just Naruto Storm 3 for short, has sold over 1 million copies in the USA and Europe since it’s March 2013 release! This comes from directly from Namco Bandai’s fiscal reports. What makes this even more astonishing is Namco Bandai’s fiscal year ends in March, meaning in less than a month Storm 3 sold over 1 million copies! Sales to date are higher, especially because Japan is not included as it was released in April.
In comparison, 760,000 copies of Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Generations have been sold between the three regions of USA, Japan, and Europe in the past year. Yup, almost 12 months of Generations in three regions doesn’t even match one month of Storm 3 in two!
In case you are wondering, Japanese data gathering and analysis company, Media Create, reports 117,593 copies of Storm 3 for PS3 being sold have been sold since it’s April 18th launch.
Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 is Namco Bandai Games and CyberConnect2’s fourth entry in the Storm series. It was released for the PlayStation 3 and Microsoft Xbox 360 in North America/South America on March 5 and Europe/Australia on March 8, and Japan on April 18, 2013. The story for the game will begin with the Nine Tailed Fox incident from 16 years ago, continue on to the Five Kage Arc, and go up to the Shinobi War, covering the latest episodes of Naruto Shippuden as they air in Japan.
