Namco Bandai Games Europe has officially confirmed the Edo Kage won’t be playable in Naruto Storm 3. News to you? Definitely not, we all know this now! What’s interesting is back in February before the game’s official release, Anime Games Online’s yokito85 did a bit of digging, finding there is hidden information on the Edo Kage on Naruto Storm 3’s game disc. Today, though some kind of tinkering with the game, smart minds have unlocked the Edo Kage, showing video of them in action!
How was this done? Through manipulation of the game’s data. The footage shown is from the Xbox 360 of the game. We’re sure detailed information on how to do this will be coming soon, but as you will note in the videos below, the Edo Kage are incomplete. They have a moveset, but not a complete one, and are somewhat glitchy. Kind of like how the support characters were playable in Naruto Storm Generations through some tinkering.
Just to be clear – Namco Bandai Games and CyberConnect2 have not released anything to make the Edo Kage playable. No DLC, no patches, and not anything official. This was done through a hack of some sorts, to which we’re sure information will soon be revealed in the near future.
Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 is Namco Bandai Games and CyberConnect2’s fourth entry in the Storm series. It was released for the PlayStation 3 and Microsoft Xbox 360 in North America/South America on March 5 and Europe/Australia on March 8, and will be released in Japan on April 18, 2013. The story for the game will begin with the Nine Tailed Fox incident from 16 years ago, continue on to the Five Kage Arc, and go up to the Shinobi War, covering the latest episodes of Naruto Shippuden as they air in Japan.
