Naruto Storm 3 Tutorial: Relay Cancels

Destroying our opponents and taking them down with maximum damage, in as little time as possible, with the most flair is something we all strive to do in Naruto Storm 3. Anime Games Online’s THE BASEDGOD has provided a little tutorial on how to come closer to this goal through what is known as Relay Cancels.

Now, “relay cancels” isn’t an official term by CyberConnect2 or Namco Bandai, it was coined by THE BASEDGOD. However, the results shown are pretty authentic, and it will drain almost one whole bar of health! Check out the videos and text below for the Naruto Storm 3 Tutorial: Relay Cancels to see how it’s done!

How can a “Relay Cancel be performed?
A Relay Cancel can only be performed in a Team Match. In order to commence the relay attack you will need at least 1 team member so this wont work in single battles. Once you have at least one member on your team to activate this hold the “circle” button on the PS3 or the “B” button for Xbox in the middle of a combo, let the button go, and then perform the ultimate jutsu. Make sure you find a combo in which the opponent staggers (even slight staggers can count) or in some cases, is launched in the air.

What’s the difference between a Relay Cancel and a Ninja Move Cancel (NMC)?
Well for one, more characters can perform a combo-to-ultimate with this technique than those who only had NMCs in Naruto Generations. Not only that, but they are also easier to perform (for the most part) and are compatible with more combos. The second difference is, as mentioned previously, this requires at least one team member.
