Players who have a Naruto Storm Generations save file on their PS3 or Xbox 360 can unlock all the characters from Storm 3’s predecessor from the moment they fire up the game. That includes as playable and as support characters. The issue is only one type of support is unlocked. Whether it’s attack, guard, or balance, only one support type for each Naruto Storm Generations character is unlocked. Even as you play online battles, offline free battles, or through story mode, additional support types are not unlocked for those with a Generations save file. It’s a glitch!
The good people over at Namco Bandai Games Europe have heard the fans and have passed on the issue to developer CyberConnect2 to fix. Hopefully we will be getting an update to resolve this issue in the near future! It’s possible other glitches, such as the frame rate issues, may also be resolved as the issue is currently being investigated.
Back to the support glicth fix – Until CyberConnect2 releases a patch, there is a temporary solution, thanks to YouTube user TheAnbuClan, that lets you select any type of support for the second support character in online battles. Here is how to do it:
- Pick the character you would like to play as
- Pick the first support character.
- You are restricted to one support type for Generations characters, so select whichever type (attack, guard, or balance) is not grayed out.
- Pick the second support character.
- Highlight the grayed out support type with your cursor and let time expire. That character will automatically get that support type.
