Last month the exciting theme song for Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods Cha-La Head-Cha-La was revealed. This month, the insert song “HERO ~Song of Hope~” has been released! Check it out below!
Both the theme (Cha-La Head-Cha-La) and insert (HERO ~Song of Hope~) are done by popular Japanese band FLOW. Theme songs are a signature musical piece used to identify a brand. They are generally used at the beginning of an anime as an introduction. Insert songs, also called incidental music or featured songs, are musical pieces that occur somewhere within an anime. They occur when there is rarely any dialogue spoken so the focus is on the song. This could be, for example, an ending theme where the music plays and various scenes related to the anime are displayed as a compliment.
Thanks Jaye Stephen!
