Road to Ninja: Naruto the Movie Limited Edition

Back in December, it was announced there would be Road to Ninja: Naruto the Movie Limited Edition. Today, Aniplex, one of the companies behind distribution of the DVD/Blu-Ray has revealed the contents! Amazon Japan has listed Road to Ninja: Naruto the Movie Limited Edition for Blu-ray at a price of 4,662 yen (around $52 USD) and the DVD for 3,885 yen (around $42 USD). The expected release date for both the DVD and Blu-ray is April 24, 2013 in Japan. The movie has not yet been announced in any capacity for North America or Europe.

If we at Anime Games Online have understood correctly, the contents of the Road to Ninja: Naruto the Movie Limited Edition are as follows:

  • 3 Discs, which include the Road to Ninja: Naruto the Movie, trailers, and bonus content
  • Special Booklet
  • Road to Ninja Sasuke sticker
  • Box with illustrations by Masashi Kishimoto (creator of Naruto)
  • Digipack with illustrations by Tetsuya Nishio (Road to Ninja: Naruto the Movie character designer)

The standard edition Road to Ninja Blu-ray is being sold for 3,885 yen (around $42 USD), while the DVD for 3,108 yen (around $35 USD).

Road to Ninja: Naruto the Movie is the latest and highest grossing film in the Naruto franchise, raking in 1.46 billion yen (around $18 USD million) between its July 28 opening day and final theatrical play on September 23, 2012. The previous record holder, Naruto the Movie: Ninja Clash in the Land of Snow from the summer of 2004 took in 1.37 billion yen (around $16 million USD).
