Namco Bandai Group has announced it will be opening the very first theme park dedicated to Shueisha’s Shonen Jump in the Summer of 2013! It will star three of the biggest manga series ever to grace the world – Naruto, One Piece, and Dragon Ball Z! As you will note in the map below, there will be a large section devoted to each of the series, taking up much of the park’s real estate! There will also be a section known as the “Heroes’ Arena” and it will have a rotating theme with various other characters from Shonen Jump.
The indoor theme park, which has not yet been named, will span about 6,168 square meters (about 1.52 acres) in Tokyo, Japan’s Sunshine City. Weekly Shonen Jump editors will take part in the project and collaborate on planning, with anime studios Toei Animation (One Piece, Dragon Ball Z) and Studio Pierrot (Naruto) also lending their expertise. Of course Namco Bandai has a line of toys and video games, amongst other merchandise, which it will integrate into the park.
