Viz Media’s Naruto Manga Volume 54 Now at North American Retailers

Posted on January 3, 2012

Viz Media’s Naruto manga volume 54, “Viaduct to Peace,” is now available in print at retailers across North America! The digital version was officially released by Viz Media back in November, while the Japanese print version was released in December 2010. The volume contains 186 Pages and covers Naruto manga chapters 505 to 514. The contents of these chapters have not yet been featured in the anime, but based on recent images it is likely they will be making their way to us this year.

Viz Media’s preview is as follows: “Naruto and his team engage in an intense battle with the Akatsuki organization as both sides seek the power to determine the future of their land. Internecine fighting weakens the Akatsuki, but will their dark forces sideline Naruto?!”

SPOILERS: If you’ve read the manga, just as a reminder, the volume covers the third meeting and battle between Might Guy and Kisame Hoshigaki, with Guy finally winning. In order to prevent the Leaf from gaining any intel, Kisame commits suicide while sending information to Tobi. Elsewhere, Tobi fights and defeats Konan to gain access to the Rinnegan from Nagato’s body and Kabuto goes to capture Bee and Naruto.

The volume is available to purchase for $9.99 at Amazon.com.
