A new video of Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Generations has emerged! The video is courtesy of Ruliweb.com and was taken at the 2011 Tokyo Game Show. It shows that in the PlayStatation 3, the L2 button allows the player to use a substitution jutsu (also known as KnJ or Kawarimi no Jutsu). You’re probably thinking in Storm 2, L2 was guard and substitution if the timing was right.
Well, if our mind isn’t making things up, we recall there being a mention at some point in time there would be a dedicated button for substitutions. Since we can’t recall where we read it, for now we will say it may be a dedicated button only because the video below shows the L2 icon next to the substitution bar. Similar to how it shows L1 and R1 as supports, and in Storm 2 we know those were dedicated buttons. Past videos from TGS 2011 don’t show the L2 icon next to the substitution bar, which especially makes the development interesting. Ruliweb was a partner of the Tokyo Game Show this year, so they may have gotten this exclusive sneak preview.
