Just last Saturday, we fans received the Shonen Jump official word that CyberConnect2 and Namco Bandai Games have a brand new Naruto game in the works – Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Generation!
Well, today, the teaser website has launched! You can check it out at http://www.bandaigames.channel.or.jp/list/naruto_g/
There isn’t much on the website other then the logo of the game, a picture of pre and post-timeskip Naruto, and a placeholder for a trailer. In addition, there is agame announcement letter to fans that says Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Generation is under development for the Xbox 360 and PS3. Based on the letter, it also seems that the game will focus more in verses play rather then story, which makes sense since there hasn’t been much more story in the anime or manga since Storm 2 was released.
There is rumor going on that the game will be titled “Naruto Shippunden: Super Ultimate Ninja Storm – Generations” however, we would like to debunk that rumor. We don’t speak Japanese so of course we could be wrong, but if you compare the logo for Storm 2 and Generation, you’ll notice that the Japanese letters before the “2” and the “Generation” in each logo are exactly the same. In other words, both say “Narutimate Storm,” which is the Japanese equivalent for “Ultimate Ninja Storm.” If the word “super” were in the title, the logo would have been a bit more different.
