In a recent press release Kishimoto, along with award-winning writer Higashiyama Akira, were credited as authors for the book version of Naruto Shippuden: Blood Prison.
Putting our investigative hard hat on, we went deep into the confines of Amazon Japan and found out Kishimoto has been credited as the author for the book versions of all the movies. This includes the three Naruto movies and the four Naruto Shippuden movies. And we all know the story for those movies aren’t cannon. So why is Kishimoto being credited? Well, because the original Naruto story, concept, and characters these books are based off of are his.
Naruto Shippuden: Blood Prison the book releases in Japan bookstores on July 4th 2011.
