Warner Brothers is currently in the process of securing the movie rights to Kubo Tite’s hit manga, BLEACH!

The news comes from The Hollywood Reporter’s Heart Vision blog that a movie based on the worldwide hit manga by Kubo Tite could be hitting the big screen.

Director Peter Segal from Get Smart, The Longest Yard, and Anger Management is in negotions to produce, but not direct the movie. Segal’s partner at Callahan Filmworks, Michael Ewing is also reportedly to produce the film along with the American manga publishing powerhouse, Viz Media.

Details are sparse at the moment, but it is assumed that this will be a live action pursuit if it comes to fruition. Warner Brothers has already acquired the rights to a few other anime/manga series including Death Note, Ninja Scroll, and Akira. Viz set up a Hollywood office back in 2008 to promote some of their properties.

Let’s hope Viz’s efforts pay off and Warner Brothers can secure the rights to create an awesome, hit movie for us Bleach fans!
